Standard Insurance Prices based on 2020 CMS Guidelines. This is what Medicare will pay a provider for services they bill for; and is often very similar to what private companies will pay.
However, the amount your provider bills the insurance companies is often much higher - sometimes as much as 2x the amount they will get paid. This inflated cost is often passed on to the patient - you - depending on the details of your plan; and especially if you are paying out of pocket, if the provider is out of network, or if the claim is denied or not covered.

Notes: We contract and negotiate with a Laboratory Testing Center to provide our patients with the lowest out of pocket prices possible - sometimes over a 90% discount off the standard price! If you would prefer to use your insurance for lab work, we absolutely can order them that was as well. However, the out of pocket costs for labs when using insurance are variable and unpredictable. For example, if you get a CBC, your insurance will be charged around $35 or so. But what you will owe out of that is an unknown factor. You could owe $0; or $35; or anything in between. By getting your lab work done with our pricing, you know exactly how much you will pay for each test before getting them drawn; offering you full transparency with no surprises!
